For companies

Less manual work. Systems that work together.

We help companies simplify processes, connect tools and turn manual tasks into more reliable systems. We start with one concrete problem and agree the scope and the price before moving forward.

Where to start

Operational problems we can take on

  • Connect disconnected business systems through APIs.
  • Replace fragile spreadsheet workflows with structured data and purpose-built tools.
  • Build or modernise backend services and databases.
  • Automate recurring data processing and reporting.

Start small

A first engagement with a fixed scope

Bounded entry offers with explicit acceptance criteria. Each ends with a written handover and a clear decision on what comes next.

  • from €650

    Website migration or refactor

A bounded move or refactor of one existing site: hosting or stack cutover, structural cleanup, or modernisation without a full rewrite.

    • Written scope: what moves, what is refactored, and how success is verified
    • Work in your repository or an agreed export/import path between hosts
    • Redirects, staging check, and launch or handover notes where applicable
    • Targeted fixes tied to the migration (performance, accessibility, or dependency updates within scope)
    • Full redesign or new information architecture
    • Large content migration without a defined batch and acceptance rules
    • New integrations, forms, or product features (see Integration Sprint)
    • Open-ended retainers

Scope: One existing site and one agreed migration or refactor outcome. Larger replatforming is quoted as an Integration Sprint or a focused project.

  • €350–€500

    Technical / Workflow Review

A short review of one codebase, integration or manual workflow, ending in a risk/option report, proposed next step and fixed implementation estimate.

    • Plain-language description of the current process or system area reviewed
    • Problems, risks and constraints identified
    • One recommended next step with options where relevant
    • Estimated cost and effort for the recommended implementation
    • When relevant: whether assistants or retrieval fit the problem, or a simpler automation is enough
    • Broad IT, architecture or security audits (see Systems Assessment)
    • Implementation

Scope: One agreed workflow, integration or codebase area and a fixed amount of discovery-not a full product audit.

  • €490–€750

    Simple Automation

Automate one recurring task using the software you already have and supported integrations.

    • Generating a report, validating a file before import, or moving approved data between supported systems
    • Structured data preparation or sync that feeds reports or downstream tools
    • Testing and defined error handling
    • Basic handover
    • Complex or poorly documented third-party APIs
    • Large data migrations
    • Third-party subscriptions
    • Whole-business process transformation
    • Open-ended chatbots or retrieval products (scoped under Integration Sprint or Custom application)

    Scope: One bounded recurring task.

  • from €1,500

    Integration Sprint

One bounded API or data integration with error handling, tests and documentation-inside an existing repository or agreed environment.

    • Agreed deliverable with explicit acceptance criteria
    • Relevant test cases and error handling
    • When in scope: retrieval over an agreed document or data set with citations and explicit “not found” responses
    • When in scope: bounded tool-using workflows wired to your APIs and data stores
    • When in scope: logging, environment-based keys and basic cost or reliability signals for model-backed features
    • Documented handover
    • Ongoing support (quoted separately)
    • Unscoped follow-on features
    • Generic chatbots without approved source material
    • Fine-tuning, open-ended prompt iteration or uncapped third-party model API spend

Scope: One bounded integration or data workflow, typically three to five focused working days. Multi-system or multi-week work is quoted as a focused project.

  • from €2,500

    Custom application

A carefully scoped application for one business process, often replacing a fragile spreadsheet-based workflow.

    • Defined functionality, user roles and data handling
    • Migration of agreed data
    • When in scope: internal Q&A over approved manuals or records with citations and explicit “not found” responses
    • Testing, deployment and handover documentation
    • Large migrations
    • Complex permission models
    • Substantial reporting
    • Compliance requirements and external integrations (scoped separately)
    • Generic chatbots, fine-tuning or uncapped model API spend

Scope: One business process. Everything else is a separate scope.

Starting prices. Amounts exclude IVA (VAT) and third-party costs (hosting, domains, paid APIs, licences). For Portuguese companies and EU/UK business buyers with a valid VAT ID, the reverse-charge mechanism applies (0% on invoice; customer accounts for VAT). For B2C clients, applicable IVA/VAT is added at the legal rate. Final scope, deliverables, exclusions, and the confirmed price are set out in writing in the agreed currency before work starts.

How it works

One problem at a time

  1. 01

    Clarify scope

If the problem or scope is unclear, start with a paid Technical / Workflow Review or Systems Assessment. Otherwise, send a short brief and we respond with fit and boundaries within one business day when operationally possible.

  2. 02

    Scope and price in writing

What will be delivered, what is excluded, how it is accepted and what it costs. Before any work starts.

  3. 03

    Build and test

Implementation with error handling and tests appropriate to the task. You see working results, not status reports.

  4. 04

    Handover

A short explanation of how it works and what to do when something changes. Ongoing support is optional and quoted separately.

Problems we solve

You don't need more software. You need the right problem solved.

Iron Signal Works helps businesses remove digital friction, reduce technical risk and build systems that are easier to operate.

Practical use case

We're drowning in manual work.

People repeatedly copy data, update spreadsheets, move files and send status emails. We map the workflow and build the digital system that removes unnecessary human steps.

Practical use case

We have thousands of documents.

Law firms, accounting offices, property companies and other organisations can accumulate years of PDFs, scans and records. We turn document archives into structured, searchable information.

Practical use case

Our website is slow, fragile or broken.

A website can still 'work' while performance, maintainability, accessibility, SEO or deployment quality quietly deteriorate. We measure first, then fix the highest-value problems.

Practical use case

Our employees shouldn't have to be the API.

CRM, ERP, ecommerce, spreadsheets and email often hold different versions of the same information. We design the data flow and automate the movement between systems.

Practical use case

Our business runs on spreadsheets.

A spreadsheet can become an unofficial application: customer data, orders, statuses, approvals and reports all living in files. We replace that dependency with a system designed for the workflow.

Practical use case

It still works. Nobody wants to touch it.

Critical software can become a liability when dependencies are old, deployments are fragile and system knowledge is concentrated in one person. We stabilise first, then modernise where it makes sense.
